HHS PA Executive Meeting 2/4/21

Present: Erin Ratner (President), Marisa Castagno (President), Christopher Minnick (Treasurer), Stephanie Assuras (Secretary), Megan Coryat (Secretary), Sophie Winborne (VP), Klara Naszkowska (VP)
Fundraising:
Gretchen can no longer run Friends of HHS, hopefully will appoint Mercedes.
Walmart check received and will be deposited next week.
Brainstorm ideas of what we can do with the money.
Need to get amount approved by general PA
Community-building activities, but should be easy to get to students/families
Puzzle with school logo
Gingerbread houses
Paper castle
Readathon
“Read for my school” app based system, tracks minutes child reading, facilitates fundraising component, requested call for next week to set it up.
No cost to the school, takes 15% of what is raised.
Recommended 2-4 weeks, number of pages versus minutes?
Coordination with teachers needed.
Need members of PA to manage administrative piece, parent coordinator for each grade.
Is app English only?
Will ask general PA for volunteers, Erin and Steph interested.
Klara’s author friend to present, price $150 15-30 min and $200 for 30-60 min.
Klara will talk to him and clarify age range.
Discuss logistics with Mr. Reilly, he would talk to teachers to coordinate.
