Welcome to P.S./M.S. 368, The William “Bill” Lynch School—a joyful, creative, and inclusive 3K–8th grade community in the heart of Hamilton Heights.
At WBLS, we believe children learn best when they are challenged academically, encouraged to be curious, and given plenty of opportunities to move, create, explore, and connect. Our progressive approach to education helps students become confident learners, creative thinkers, thoughtful community members, and young people who are excited to ask questions and discover what comes next.
The arts and movement are an essential part of life at WBLS. Students across the grades learn with dedicated teachers in music, dance, visual art, and physical education. Our classrooms extend far beyond traditional academics through partnerships and experiences in swimming, tennis, podcasting, STEAM, field trips, performances, and more. WBLS students also compete in flag football, on the track, and on the court in basketball and volleyball.
Community is at the heart of our school. Every Friday, students, teachers, staff, and families come together for our beloved school-wide Sing-Along—a tradition that captures the warmth, energy, and spirit of WBLS. Families are welcomed as active members of school life, and we celebrate the many backgrounds, cultures, languages, talents, and perspectives that make our community distinctly New York City.
Saturday Academy provides an opportunity for enrichment and enhanced academic support while Saturday community events, including pumpkin decorating, Cultural Potluck, and Winter Wonderland have become beloved traditions.
From a child’s first days in 3K through the transition to high school, we want every WBLS student to feel known, supported, challenged, and inspired.
We invite you to explore our website, learn more about our programs, and come experience the WBLS community for yourself.
Our Teachers and Staff are committed to creating a community of students and families who share a love of learning, are creative thinkers and self-motivated learners. We learn from and celebrate the range of backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures that reflect the diversity of New York City.
