HHS PA Executive Meeting 1/13/21

Present: Erin Ratner (President), Marisa Castagno (President), Christopher Minnick (Treasurer), Stephanie Assuras (Secretary), Sophie Winborne (VP); Absent: Klara Naszkowska (VP); Megan Coryat (Secretary)

Fundraising:

·       Walmart mailing $5000 donation to Mr. Reilly, could have it this week. Need some coordination, Mr. Reilly might be able to put together list of recipients. We can see if there are restrictions for money use (e.g., maybe cash acceptable). On our website include that Walmart made donation, maybe pictures of recipient if willing (otherwise anonymous). Christopher believes we might have extra money, in which case we can discuss how to use the funds (e.g., coats, although PA budget has previously covered this cost).

·       Discussed raising money to give to teachers at the end of the year. Decided against it this year given circumstances, though individuals are free to give cash gifts within guidelines.

·       Readathon discussed, decided to make fundraising optional. Student participation is priority. We can use prizes as encouragement. Some students might not have books so we need to organize online resources such as Epic (using in kindergarten and beyond now at HHS). Maybe start late February. Follow-up with Klara about author contact for presentation.

Tribute:

·       Collected 27 videos, Marisa will proceed with editing.

Financial Report:

·       Christopher coordination with bank is complete.

Calendar:

·       Next General PA meeting Friday 1/29 after singalong.

Next PA Executive meeting 2/4 at 12pm.
