The leaves are falling and the spirits are rising at WBLS at the very first event of the school year!

The significance of this event lies in the fact that it is the VERY FIRST FUNDRAISER of the year! All the funds gathered will be directed towards the Parent association to sponsor school projects and offer support to families during the course of the year.

Community is the heart of WBLS, and nothing exemplifies this more than the act of sharing food.

In this event we show how diverse is our community bringing dishes/food from our cultural backgrounds from all over the world!

Books feed imaginations. Books are magical. Books can change lives and at WBLS our students know it and because of that our Book fair is a success every year!!

Even with the busyness of December, there's always a chance to indulge in hot cocoa, candy canes, and participate in the fun activity of making gingerbread houses at WBLS. This event is a favorite for many, and it's not hard to see why!

Every year, Teresa Boitel, our wonderful dance teacher at WBLS, puts in a great deal of care, time, and commitment to organize diverse performances that allow children to showcase and enhance their artistic skills.

Is there a better way to spread love and joy? Share a festive school event with delicious food, laughter, and a top-notch DJ!

During photo week at WBLS, we place great importance on capturing memorable moments. Eric Bondoc excels at capturing stunning images of our children, making them feel like celebrities.

At WBLS, we are proud to have the most exceptional teachers in the city, and we make sure to show them our appreciation all year round. However, during teacher appreciation week, we go above and beyond to express our love and admiration for them as a school community.

Every year, the entire school is treated to a fun-filled day of activities and sports at Riverbank State Park.

Our teachers put all their effort into creating an outstanding event schedule, with parents and caregivers helping to organize, plan, and take part in all the activities with great enthusiasm.

Until recently, the fifth graders were the biggest kids in town!, and as a tribute to them, WBLS throws a Dance party featuring music, snacks, entertainment, and performances to mark the end of Elementary school and the beginning of Middle school with a positive vibe.

Annually, the school hosts a spring performance led by the highly skilled and charming Music Teacher Mr. Johnnie. Students in grades K-2 showcase their musical abilities on stage, with parents, caregivers, and the school community invited to attend the event.

What a wonderful way to welcome Spring!

As August draws to a close, before the school term kicks off, a Back to School Picnic is organized by the school in partnership with the Parent Association and MMCC, with the objective of familiarizing themselves with the incoming families to the school community and making connections with the new teachers and classmates prior to the start of the school year.
